摘要：

A 55-year-old female patient with a recurrent symptomatic giant intracavernous aneurysm of the internal carotid artery is reported. During stent-protected coil embolisation a technical complication occurred with detachment of the platinum tip of the guide wire used for stent placement. The detached tip remained in the vessel but caused no neurologic symptoms. © Urban & Vogel.
