Abstract: The machining of large thin-walled rings is considered. The influence of the cutter geometry and the cutting conditions on the machining precision is analyzed by the finite-element method. Production experiments are compared with the theoretical analysis. Practical recommendations are formulated. © 2022, Allerton Press, Inc.
