Measuring the Parameters of an Electron Beam with the Help of Optical Transition Radiation

摘要
A technique for measuring the profile and transverse emittance of an electron beam generated at the output of the rectangular accelerating structure of a racetrack microtron is described. The structure ensures an electron-beam energy of 5.3 MeV with a pulsed current of up to 50 mA. Experimental results are provided. The measurements were performed with the help of a videosetup imaging the optical transition radiation.
