Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking in the Early Universe with a Negative Temperature and a Broken Lorentz Symmetry

摘要
In this paper we show that, in the early universe, higher order curvature corrections induce spontaneous symmetry breaking with negative temperature and broken Lorentz symmetry when the gravitational coupling constant and the cosmological constant both vary with respect to the quantum expectation value of the scalar curvature. The early universe exists on a two-state system with two different values of the effective gravitational coupling constant and the effective cosmological constant with opposite signs which are merged today into one value each.
