摘要
Microlicia veadeirana, a new species found in the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Goiás, is herein described and illustrated. Additionally, its conservation status, environmental preferences, and period of flowering and fruiting are provided. The novel species is morphologically similar to M. isostemon, M. consimilis, and M. cryptandra based on a set of characters such as general appearance of the stem, length of leaves, color of petals, stem orientation, and number of locules in the ovary. However, it is distinguished from these species by a series of characters, including 1-nerved leaves, with the margin not ciliate, a crown of trichomes at the apex of the hypanthium, the length of the connectives of the stamens, and urceolate capsules.
