This article proposes a three-phase two-level quasi-Z-source inverter based on the four-leg structure to provide the constant common-mode voltage. The proposed four-leg inverter can solve the amplitude of high-order harmonics of common-mode voltage when the shoot-through states are used to achieve the boosting voltage ratio and improve the reliability of the inverter. The operating principle, mathematical analyses, and control method of the proposed four-leg inverter are presented. A comparison study of the proposed four-leg structures for constant common-mode voltage is also discussed. Finally, simulation and experimental results have been presented based on a 1 kW prototype inverter to confirm the theory of the proposed four-leg inverter.
