A substantial amount of experimental data on electric conduction in alkaline-silicate glasses with a different content of alkaline oxide published by various authors is analyzed. It is established that for nonliquating glasses the dependence of the conductivity on the alkaline oxide content is best expressed via its dependence on the mean distance between the alkaline cations.
