The maceration process was used to produce a novel eco-friendly, water-soluble, and efficient corrosion inhibitor sheep manure extract (SME). Characterization of SME was performed by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Weight loss, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) techniques were used to evaluate the corrosion inhibition Efficiency of SME of carbon steel (CS) in 1M hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution. According to potentiodynamic polarization tests, the investigated inhibitor operates as a mixed-type inhibitor. Investigated, SME exhibited more than 90% corrosion inhibition efficiency at 600 mg/L concentration at 298 K. According to the Langmuir adsorption isotherm model, the adsorption of EMS was random, with physisorption and chemisorption. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and (EDX) were used to examine the surface morphology of CS specimens. Experiment findings demonstrated that sheep manure extract has a significant potential to adsorb on a carbon steel surface with good stability of corrosion inhibition at all concentrations examined here.
