摘要
Tracheal stenosis following laryngotracheal intubation and tracheostomy is still one of the most common clinical problems today. Although surgery is the first option for its treatment, bronchoscopic approaches can be successfully used for treatment of restenosis that may develop after surgery. In this report, we could prevent the recurrence of granulation tissue by submucosal injection of mitomycin-C to the stenosis by using rigid bronchoscopy to the 28-year-old patient who underwent tracheal resection due to postintubation tracheal stenosis and subsequently developed granulation tissue. In this report, the submucosal injection of mitomycin-C, a potent fibroblast inhibitor, was tried for the first time for tracheal restenosis.
