The singular boundary method for unilateral contact problems

摘要：
The singular boundary method (SBM) is developed and applied for unilateral contact problems by means of the implicit projection iterative method (IPIM). The IPIM removes the nonlinearity of unilateral contact problems. The SBM solves linear elastic problems iteratively. Numerical studies illustrate the accuracy and convergence of the proposed algorithm.
