Previously unknown substituted pyrazoles were obtained by the reaction of the 2-cyanoethylhydrazones of aryl methyl ketones and 5-methylfur-2-yl methyl ketone with the Vilsmeier-Haack reagent. ©1999 KluwerAcademic/Plenum Publishers.
