Carcinosarcoma is exceedingly rare in the oral cavity and shows presence of both carcinomatous and sarcomatous components. We report a case of carcinosarcoma of tongue in a 51-year-old male with predominant osteosarcomatous and squamous cell carcinoma components. There was no evidence of regional or systemic metastatic disease. This case represents the first reported example of this unusual neoplasm with a predominant osteosarcomatous component, arising in the tongue. © 2018, Indian Association of Surgical Oncology.
