Putin’s Ukraine aggression: how should an African respond?

Putin’s invasion was wrong. Both Ukraine and Russia will suffer from its effects in the foreseeable future. The arguments presented here are whether the reactions to it, beyond offering Ukraine assistance, are commensurate with the requirements of global security for our times. The initial Western reactions and policies suggest that there remains a long way to go. The present essays are meant to stretch the debates in different directions on matters of global security. They are constructed as answers to sets of questions and issues, all pertaining to the supposed non-appreciating by others outside of the West of the ‘real stakes’ of global security emanating from the Russian invasion.
