摘要：
Die chronische Obstipation ist ein multifaktorielles Symptom, für das je nach Obstipationsform völlig unterschiedliche Mechanismen verantwortlich sind. Sie führen zu einer Veränderung der intestinalen Motilität, der Sekretion und der Stuhltextur, die bei den Patienten die Obstipationssymptome verursachen. Die Unterscheidung primärer von sekundären Obstipationsformen ist von therapeutische Relevanz, da die sekundäre Obstipation auch durch Behandlung der Grundkrankheit oder ihrer Auslöser behandelt werden kann.
