Specific features of noise reduction in the exhaust part of a gas turbine unit are considered. A method is developed for calculating the optimal flow cross-sectional area of an absorption silencer installed in the path of a gas turbine unit. The effect of various factors on selection of the silencer’s optimal design is analyzed.
