摘要
The middle class is an important engine of political development and social change, but their political attitudes and values are mostly unclear in the Internet era. The author found that the use of modern information technology does not have a significant impact on Chinese and Japanese middle classes’ trust in their national and local governments. However, the impact of technology on the middle classes’ pride in their government system, and the wish to live under their current political system vary wildly between China and Japan. Modern information technology significantly reduces the Chinese middle class’s pride in their government and their wish to live under the current political system, but it does not have the same impact on Japanese middle class. These findings provide effective guidance and references for the improvement of national image. Based on ROC (relative operating characteristics) curve analysis, the logistic regression model presents a good fitting effect.
