The author recounts her journey from graduate school researcher to full time evaluator to criminal justice professor teaching research and evaluation. With some humor, she describes the disconnect between her enjoyment of research and evaluation and her students’ disdain for the same disciplines, eventually arriving at a happy medium whereby she has learned how to teach criminal justice graduate students some basic evaluation concepts. © 2015, Springer Science+Business Media New York.
