摘要
Patients presenting with osteoarthritis of the medial femorotibial compartment in conjunction with anterior instability of the knee joint might be suitable for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and medial unicondylar knee arthroplasty. Clinical studies have shown promising short-term results and significant improvement in the Knee Society score (KSS) and Tegner activity score. The anterior instability after surgery can be reduced to ≤5 mm. These combined procedures are recommended in younger patients in order to preserve natural knee kinematics. Unicondylar knee arthroplasty should also be considered in patients presenting with an intra-articular deformity, which is not correctable with high tibial osteotomy. © 2017, Springer Medizin Verlag GmbH.
