摘要
Patient-reported outcomes (PRO) are patients’ self-assessments of their health status that can contribute to a better integration of the patient’s perspective into treatment and care. Many studies in oncologic settings indicate a benefit for gathering information, treatment care processes, and the health status of patients. A variety of scientifically developed validated instruments (PRO measures, PROM) are available to select PRO suitable for the different settings and aims. Due to simplified data entry, automated data processing, and graphical presentation of results, electronic assessment is advisable. Implementation of electronic PRO assessment is a complex and challenging process requiring a structured approach. Important aspects to be considered are the analysis of current practice, the involvement and motivation of all stakeholders, their training and support, the interprofessional use of results, and a systematic evaluation. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Medizin Verlag GmbH, ein Teil von Springer Nature.
