摘要
The iodine-catalyzed Povarov reaction of aromatic aldehydes, amines, and cyclobutanone in THF is described. The amines include naphthalen-2-amine and anthracen-2-amine. Cyclobuta[c]quinoline derivatives are obtained in high yields. This novel procedure has the advantages of mild reaction condition, high yields, and metal-free catalyst.
