Suggests the IOSN can be a useful tool for clinical decision-making, health needs assessment and commissioning purposes for sedation services.Suggests the IOSN has a number of drawbacks and is not robust enough to be used as a sole commissioning tool to determine access to sedation.Proposes that some alterations, particularly with respect to being speciality specific, can make the IOSN a more useful tool.
