摘要
The probability of spectroscopic detection of a desired substance in a complex mixture is estimated for the case where the set of spectral lines of the substance consists of equal brightness components distributed over the spectrum. As a measure of the component’s contribution to the resulting probability, the square of the signal-to-noise ratio is proposed. A new form of diffraction grating structure is proposed to increase the probability of detection of a substance.
