Pore size distribution of cement pastes containing fly ash-gypsum blends cured for 7 days

摘要
This paper reports results on the porosity and pore size distribution of cement paste containing varying amounts of fly ash and gypsum. The water to binder ratio was 0.5. The binder consists of cement, fly ash and gypsum. 25% of the binder was replaced with a combination of fly ash and gypsum. The fly ash ranged from 0–100%. The porosity and pore size distribution of the cement pastes at 7 days of curing are reported. Increasing the amount of gypsum does not have a noticeable effect on the pore volume, however, the pore structure becomes coarser with increasing amounts of gypsum. The results were compared with those obtained at 28 days and 365 days of curing in previous investigations.
