摘要
As a result of investigation of the nature of changes in the profile of the working surface of a diamond wheel in the process of grinding of high-density Al2O3–TiC ceramics, we establish the principal mechanisms of destruction of diamond grains and formation of a layer of sludge on the grains and in the binder. We analyze the influence of these changes in the profile of the working surface of a diamond wheel on the contact interaction in the course of grinding and lowering of the cutting ability of the wheel.
