摘要
Background: Few didactic curricula addressing topics of gender and/or sexuality in psychiatry residency training have been published to date. Activity: A seminar on gender and sexuality for senior psychiatry residents was developed at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, in 2008. The 8- to10-week seminar has been taught by a diverse, interprofessional faculty group and covers various topics regarding gender and sexuality. Results: The mean overall evaluation score for 2009–2014 was 4.26 (on a scale of 1–5, with 1 = unacceptable, and 5 = excellent; n = 27). Discussion: Seminars on gender and sexuality are well received by learners. More psychiatry residency programs may consider developing similar curricula. © 2016, International Association of Medical Science Educators.
