摘要
Abstract: Data on the role of H1 family linker histones in the structural organization and functioning of chromatin that have accumulated to date are presented in this review. The structure of the H1 histone and its post-translational modifications are considered. Special attention is paid to the role of the H1 histone in the formation of the chromatin in transcriptionally inactive state with a high degree of DNA compaction. © 2018, Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
