Electron-phonon entrainment, thermodynamic effects, and the thermal conductivity of degenerate conductors

A method is proposed for calculating the kinetic coefficients of degenerate conductors that takes into account in a self-consistent way the mutual influence of the nonequilibrium state of the electron and phonon subsystems. The calculated expressions for the kinetic coefficients satisfy Onsager symmetry relations. The influence of the nonequilibrium character of the electron-phonon subsystem on the electrical conductivity, thermal voltage, and electronic thermal conductivity is analyzed.
