摘要
The results of investigating the content of heavy metals in soils of the eastern Nile Delta in 9 profiles and at 70 points from surface soil layers are presented. The content of total and mobile forms of heavy metals in different types of alluvial soils in geomorphological zones is established. The metal pollution index is used for assessing soil contamination, the results of which are used for compiling a map of the metal pollution index. A high soil contamination is noted in the zone affected by the Bahr El-Baqar Drain.
