A new thermochemical method is proposed to quantify Au ionic occurrences in sulfide ores, as well as in pyrite, porphyry-copper, and gold ore concentrates. The study of the form in which gold occurs in sulfides is topical due huge losses of metal under the current ore dressing technologies. For example, during Ural pyrite ore dressing, the losses of associated gold reach 80%.
