Grundlagen: Die distale Femurfraktur zählt wie alle gelenknahen Frakturen der belasteten Extremität zu den anspruchsvollen Bruchformen. Die Problematik der Standardimplantate wie Kondylenplatte und DCS besteht in der zugangsbedingten, oft ausgedehnten Weichteilablösung der suprakondylären „Jammerzone“, so daß sich intramedulläre Stabilisierungsverfahren anbieten, die die parossale Weichteilhülse besser respektieren sollten.
