摘要
This paper traces views about war from various psychoanalytic points of view, including that of Freud, Klein, and Bion. These are put in cultural context by comparing them with Buddhist views on war and death. I argue that many people in the United States seek to insulate themselves from the suffering associated with war through the use of various dissociative mechanisms.
