The article provides an integrated and comprehensive analysis of opportunities to use standardization tools for ensuring the sustainable development of administrative-territorial entities. The author considers examples of implementation and practical application of standards for local government bodies and provides justification for enhancing the activities on the development of such standards and standardized indicators of regional development. © 2015, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
