摘要
This study examined the strategies spontaneously used by university students as they tried to understand multiple expository texts as part of their normal reading and studying. Law students read self-selected texts at different points in time during one semester. Think-aloud protocols generated during reading were analyzed to identify types of strategic text processing. It was found that students' strategic processing changed over time, with some of the changes associated with changes in students' perception of the nature of the reading task. Different changes in strategic processing were observed for students at different levels of performance.
