摘要
Musicogenic epilepsies are reflex epilepsies and have been studied only rarely. After a historical introduction, this review presents a case report, typical clinical features and the known pathophysiology. In particular, right sided hemispheric lesions are able to cause musicogenic epilepsies, especially in people with musical education and knowledge. The treatment of musicogenic epilepsies does not differ from the treatment of other types of epilepsy. Other epileptological links between music and epileptic seizures are (i) seizure induced by playing music, (ii) ictal singing and (iii) continuous musical hallucinations as epileptic aura. © 2015, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
