Investigation of a free convective current using holographic interferometry

摘要
By the method of holographic interferometry in real time, an investigation is carried out of the development of free convective currents in an enclosed cavity filled with different liquids exposed to heat fluxes from either linear or point sources. Characteristic times of the processes are measured. Temperature fields in the current are plotted.
