The purpose of the present paper is to introduce Mittag-Leffler type Poisson distribution. We obtain some properties of this distribution. It is worthy to note that the results of this distribution reduces to the result of Poisson distribution for α= β= 1. © 2016, African Mathematical Union and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
