摘要：

Partial oxidation of vanadium(IV) to vanadium(V), which is stabilized due the formation of (VCl4)+ cations, occurs in the system VCl4–SbCl5 at heating. In the crystal structure of [(VCl4)+(SbCl6)–]2(VCl4), the layers of (SbCl6)– anions alternate with the layers containing both (VCl4)+ cations and neutral VCl4 molecules.
