Approach of Separating Streamlines to a Contour in Plane-Parallel Viscous Fluid Flow

It is found that there exist analytic solutions of the Navier-Stokes equation which show that in steady-state plane-parallel viscous incompressible fluid flow the separation streamlines can approach the contour at any angle including arrival along the normal and the tangent. It is also found that several separation streamlines can intersect at a single point on the contour and the angle of arrival can be fairly arbitrary.
