A multiband polarization-insensitive metamaterial absorber in the infrared regime

摘要
We report a polarization-insensitive multiband absorber in the infrared regime. Unit cell of the absorber is made of a square nanohole filled with silicon. Simulation results show that the multiband absorber has seven absorption peaks. The absorption peak and intensity are insensitive to polarization. Also physical mechanism of multiband absorption has been investigated with the help of standing wave theory.
