摘要
The photo-detection is important in all the image sensory system. The choice of photo-detector is of great importance in the dynamic application. The photo-detector on detection of light generates photocurrent which can be further used to evaluate equivalent voltage. This capability of generating voltage decides the quality of the photodetector. This paper does the analysis for the feasibility of the photodiode as the best choice amongst the various photo-detectors for the vision system. A converging lens is the prime constituent at the input of the system. Therefore, this paper has two section one for the modeling the lens and other for modeling and analysis of photo-detectors. In the first section it deals with the modeling of optical parameters. The physical parameters affecting the optical parameters are considered constant. In the second part it deals with the comparative study of the photo-detectors for pixel of image sensor. In this, modeling of the photodiode as photo-detector is done for simulated results and then performance analysis is done. © 2010 Optical Society of India.
