摘要
Our study describes the widespread description on length-frequency (LFDs) distributions, length–weight (LWRs) relationships, length-length (LLRs) relationships, condition and form factor of Sillaginopsis panijus (Hamilton, 1822) collected from the Bay of Bengal (Southern Bangladesh). Overall 1173 individuals (male = 660, female = 513) of S. panijus were harvested from January to December, 2020. Total length (TL) ranged between 11.5 to 34.5 cmfor males and 11.5 to 37.0 cmfor females. Body weight (BW) varied between 6.79 to 225.57 gfor male and 10.57 to 368.49 gfor female population. The allometric co-efficient (b) value (male, 3.14; female, 3.18) denoted positive allometric growth for both sexes. The calculated form factor (a3.0) was 0.0056. Fulton’s condition factor (KF) was found most suitable for this species. The average WR denoted that the ecosystem was in stable condition. The results of our study will be supportive to implement proper management strategy in the marine and coastal water of Bangladesh.
