Correlations between the thermodynamic properties of II–VI and III–VI phases

摘要
Simple correlation models are considered that can be used to predict unknown and refine questionable thermodynamic properties of II–VI and III–VI semiconductors. An empirical rule is proposed: for a particular combination of Periodic Groups, the enthalpy and Gibbs energy of formation of isostructural AnBm compounds are linear functions of the melting point.
