摘要
The discussion as well as evolution of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) actually dates back two decades by introducing research models on vehicular networks. With a fast progress of technologies and communication protocols, ITS took a new dimension to offer safer and convenient ride experience to different mode of transportation. However, its potential effectiveness towards various applications if ITS are still yet to be witnessed. Hence, this manuscript presents a discussion of some of recent dominant methodologies implemented towards addressing various set of problems in ITS. The paper contributes to understand the strength and limitation of existing methods/techniques on ITS in order to arrive to research trend as well as open-end research issues.
