Background: Female patient, age 37 years, with headaches in the area of the left Trigeminus nerve started after her second pregnancy, edema in the painful facial area, increasing intensity of pain and number of pain episodes Objective: To decrease the number of episodes and the intensity of headaches and to avoid analgetic drugs and surgery Method: Auriculo- and body-acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese remedies and diet according to TCM Results: The symptoms nearly vanished and the patient was able to return to normal daily function. Conclusion: This case study shows the efficiency of combining acupuncture with Chinese dietary therapy and the application of traditional Chinese remedies.
