We examine problems involving metrological support of biochemical analyzers designed to measure the optical density of a liquid biological specimen, followed by converting the value obtained to the required parameter. We have studied the possibility of using nigrosine solutions to check the metrological characteristics of biochemical analyzers. We propose use of a kit we developed containing optical density standards, as tools for checking biochemical analyzers.
