As a component directly acting on the rock in the drilling process, the early failure of the outer ring and the low efficiency of rock breaking will occur when the cone bit is drilled. To solve these problems, a new type of split bit is designed in this paper, and the kinematic analysis model of the cutting tooth is established. The displacement, velocity and acceleration values of the specific points on the cutting ring are obtained, which verifies that the small center ring can improve the rock breaking efficiency at the center of the bit. By changing the central arm length of the rock breaking process and the position matching relationship between the bit and the rock, the rock breaking experiment was carried out. The results show that the cutting teeth with independent movement can achieve different bottom hole models in the contact section with rock. Combined with the results of bottom hole model, the characteristics of impact, invasion and cutting in the process of cutting tooth rock breaking can be obtained, which effectively improves the rock breaking performance and verifies the rationality of bit design and the correctness of theoretical analysis.
