摘要
This study presents an analytical investigation on the entropy generation in ferrofluid flow over rotating disk with influence of low oscillating magnetic field. The entropy generation equation is derived as a function of velocity and temperature gradient. This equation is non-dimensionalized by using geometrical and physical flow field-dependent parameters. Their reversibilities due to fluid flow and heat transfer and their contribution in total entropy generation are calculated under the impact of magnetic parameter and nanoparticle volume fraction. In addition, the results for average heat transfer coefficient and thermal resistance are also discussed and give a way to enhance the heat transfer rate under keeping information of entropy generation.
