The capacity of nonwoven composite materials made of polypropylene to shield electromagnetic radiation in the superhigh-frequency range (ν = 8-12 GHz) was assessed. The materials were modified with conducting fillers and reinforcing elements. It was found that the shielding efficacy is a function of the composition and method of fabrication of the materials. Some of them can be considered shields of the reflecting and transforming types. The directions for improving the shielding characteristics of the materials were determined by addition of functional components that give them the property of radio-frequency absorption.
