On acoustic radiation accompanying vibrations of a charged droplet

摘要
The dispersion equation relation for the spectrum of capillary oscillations of a charged droplet in a compressible ambient has been derived. It has been shown that such oscillations in the case of droplets, whose sizes and charges are typical of drops in clouds, fogs, or raindrops, cause the generation of sonic and ultrasonic waves in the ambient. An expression for the total intensity of the acoustic radiation generated by a single droplet has been obtained.
