Experience with the Trabucco tension-free sutureless inguinal hernioplasty

We report a method of hernioplasty by a tension-free, sutureless mesh technique that replaces any deficient transversalis fascia of the groin with a strong preshaped mesh prosthesis. In 962 inguinal and femoral hernioplasties performed between 1993 and 1999 there have so far been no recurrences.
